The article analyzes the legal framework of fuels in the Brazilian system. The main purposes of this article are to present the constitutional and legal rules on fuels, specifically rules on oil, natural gas and biofuels and to examine the evolution of Brazilian legislation on the subject. The research materials used are sources of the Brazilian Legal System.
